The preparations for demountable vehicles are of 2 types:
- fixed demountable system for vehicles with integral air suspension made with a sub-frame (whole or in multiple sections) or without a sub-frame.
- roll-off system with 4 hydraulic jacks controlled by an electro-hydraulic control unit necessary for lifting the swap bodies
The anchoring of the swap body takes place by:
- twist-lock (the twist lock crossbars can be with single or double twist lock or with rotatable twist lock)
- a toggle .

With hydraulic demountable systems it is possible to lift the crates by means of 4 hydraulic jack systems.
The hydraulic jacks are supported by an electro-hydraulic control unit necessary for lifting.
The mobile body is anchored via twist-lock or toggle.
